Progress Center for Independent Living is recruiting personal assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants to assist people with disabilities in their homes.  Full and part time work is available. No previous experience is necessary. Personal assistants are offered $16/hour. People with disabilities are encouraged to apply. This is an opportunity to work with people with disabilities and to learn about independent living. Personal assistants play a significant role in helping a person with disabilities to live in their own home, instead of a nursing home.

Duties you may perform:

  • Housekeeping & Laundry
  • Cooking & Meal Preparations/Clean up
  • Assist with hygiene needs, including bathing and toiletry
  • Running Errands
  • Assisting with mobility needs
  • Many individualized needs, including getting in and out of bed, and dressing
