Be the voice for others that cannot speak for themselves. Your call, your voice, your input is necessary in order to support the Independent Living Movement. Choose to be someone’s strength, continue to encourage others to fight for their own rights. There is power in numbers, we all are valuable beings, Choose to be a part of the solution and not the problem, never give up!, decide TODAY that you are going to fight, be courageous and be heard, decide TODAY that you will become more than you’ve ever been, decide TODAY that you refuse to accept NO for an answer, decide TODAY to become actively involved in the Independent Living Movement, decide TODAY to be great, decide TODAY to parnter with PCIL and other Centers for Independent Living to ensure that the most vulnerable seniors, children and adults with disabilities will continue to recieve the support services needed for their activites of daily living so that they can live independently in their respective communities.

The State of Illinois finally has a budget…..
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. —
The Illinois House voted 71-42 in favor of overriding Gov. Bruce Rauner’s vetoes of a budget package Thursday, giving the state its first spending blueprint in more than two years and ending the nation’s longest fiscal stalemate since at least the Great Depression.
